Servus! My name is Nadia Mousikou and I am from Cyprus. After finishing my Accounting and Finance degree in Exeter ,England I wanted to move to Germany to improve my german language skills. So when I found out about the EVS I applied for it since it would be ideal for improving my level of german and working with children.
I am a volunteer at the Kinderhort August Hermann Francke and I am spending my time with children who are 7 to 9 years old. I work from 11 to 17 from Monday to Friday. I have a project which is called Kochakademie and every month I choose a country and offer various activities, where children can learn more about the culture of the specific country. Examples of activities would be games, crafts and cooking. Mondays and Tuesdays are project days;the rest of the days I play games with the children, help them with their homework and offer my assistance at the Naehstuebchen, where children have the chance to learn how to knit and sew.
In my free time i like listening to music, drawing and baking.I love art and travelling and experiencing different cultures!
