So my German lessons have started but unfortunately it is too easy for me, but nevertheless I can learn a few words. However, I have now joined the University orchestra which looks like it will be great. I'm not going to lie, getting out of the house at seven to walk to orchestra does take a lot of motivation, however, once I'm there I know I've made the right decision and do genuinely enjoy it. Before coming out here we all wrote down ten things we wanted to achieve in the year, one of mine was to join an orchestra here, so I am glad to have ticked one off the list. For my project I tried accompanying the kids with the piano whilst they sung Humpty Dumpty. This could have gone better as they mostly wanted to dance around the hall but I think we managed to sing it through a few times first. We had an Alumni workshop this week with some Germans who are doing/ have done an EVS in England. The weekend was great fun, although I'm not sure it was so productive.
