Rimini!!!! The first week of June was spent in Rimini with around 120 other volunteers from Halle and Magdeburg. It was nice to have a relaxing week, although the weather wasn't always helping - the mornings were nice and sunny but by the afternoon there was normally a storm. Despite this we managed to do a lot of acticities including a boat trip, sun bathing andswimming in the sea. After this week I had one week at work where we learnt "the sun has got his hat on" for my project. The week after however we had our second seminar, in Bornheim. (between Cologne and Bonn) Unfortunately this one wasn't as long as our first seminar, however we still managed to spend a day in Bonn and I went round Beethoven's house and also a history musuem but I wasn't so interessted in that one. By the end of June we had reached almost 40 degrees in Halle. It was boiling and such a contrast to the freezing winter - and also the constant rain in England. The end of June was also the end of the first year of school for my class. We had a nice farewell party for the kids at the local lake, which we all went swimming in. And from now on it's all holiday hort. At the end of the month we went to Hamburg (via braunschweig which is a very nice town), stayed with seminar friends, and ran the Half Marathon. It was great fun - a good decision made - but rather hot for running. Unfortunately we only stayed the weekend in Hamburg but still I feel like I saw a lot of the place. I also had my last orchestra concert in the university hall which was a very nice end to the year.
