Started my German lessons. It is actually a class for German people but they do a lot on grammar and writing skills. Also my orchestra started again which was nice to get playing again as truth be told I hadn't done much practise on my own. We also had two youth on the run's which were great fun as this time we were teamers and not participants. (of course it was also very fun as a participant but completely different and this time I knew exactly what was going to happen) We also went to Leipzig to visit friends from our seminar in Dresden. We visited Mendelssohn's house (as that's where one of the volunteers is spending her year) and we also went up the mdr building so that you can see all over leipzig which was a very impressive view. At the end of April we had Museum Nacht which is where you buy a ticket for 8 Euros and then have free transport between halle and leipzig and free entry into almost all museums in both towns. It was a great evening (between 6pm and midnight) and I wish it lasted longer as I couldnt see all the things I wanted to, however I did go to Schumann's house, a Wagner museum, Bach museum and the great Barrier reef 360 degree exhibition. (I did mainly go for the music exhibitions but the others went more for history or art) I also went to a tandem event at the MLU to try and meet some more people and get more involved in student life. We did different tasks, games and had food all together and yes I did meet many people but unfortunately there weren't that many German students there, mostly international students. Nevertheless I had a good time and am looking forward to the tandem trip next month. In my project this month we made a little "royal" book to celebrate the Queen's 90th birthday.
